Two bottles also means it doesn’t need or contain excess ingredients or fixed ratios. Just pure fresh plant power.
No emulsifiers. No extra preservatives. No preset percentages of hydration and moisture!
These are required to make any cream, lotion, or some types of serums - all technically are called emulsions. These extra ingredients - aka inactive fillers - keep the formula stable but typically don’t benefit your skin!
Plus, active ingredients can degrade faster in emulsions for various reasons. Air and light can also break down actives.

Pure, nothing unnecessary

Purest form of skin nutrients is going to be in their raw form...
An emulsion - AKA cream, lotion, and some types of serums - requires excess ingredients and pre-set ratios of hydration and moisture.
To make a stable face cream or lotion you'd have to use all four below:
Emulsifier (similar to a wax) - 2-10%
Preservative - 1-5%
Moisturizing ingredients/oils - 10-40%
Hydrating ingredients (or just water) - 50-75%
A formula could be 70% not super loaded with skin nutrients... Based on the above typical cream formula breakdown (55% water + 15% emulsifier and preservative). Can even be 80-90% water in other formulas!!
Surf+Slope omits these unnecessary fillers, enhancing plant actives and customizability.
Powerful, less is more

Each bottle has less than 15 ingredients.
This feeds your face higher percentages of each power plant ingredient to give your skin the right concentrations of their beneficial skin nutrients and plant actives for efficacy.
Ingredients can be at higher active concentrations the lower the overall ingredient list is.
It's harder to have each ingredient at a higher percentage with more ingredients. Logically each ingredient is reduced, which lowers the amounts of their specific beneficial nutrients or actives. A 12 ingredient formula vs an over 35 ingredient formula is naturally going to be able to carry the actives at higher concentrations for efficacy.
Lots of ingredients = smaller amounts of their skin nutrients.
Fewer ingredients = larger amounts of their skin nutrients.
Side tip: it's a myth that the higher percentage is always better as not all ingredients should be used at larger amounts. Plus, some ingredients work just as good - if not better - at lower percentage.
